Oak Pond Brewery tours are conducted during normal business store hours, Monday through Friday 3:00 to 5:30, Saturday 12:30 to 5:30. There are no predetermined tour times or group sizes and occur as business allows. Tours are led by Nancy or Don Chandler who own OPB and brew the beer. The tours can be as detailed as a home brewer desires or as general as a casual beer lover would like.
Tour emphasis is on the four ingredients in OPB beer; Water, Malted Grain, Hops and Yeast. Discussion is on the role each of these ingredients can play in beer production, and the wide spectrum of beers that can be produced. We encourage tour participants to eat some malted barley, peer into the kettle and mash tun and taste some beer from the fermenter.
Tours will take you through the brewing process. Starting at the OPB malted barley silo and ending at the six OPB beer taps where tour participants can sample our products.
Large groups are requested to call ahead to schedule tours.
